The Housekeeper position at Ivy Park plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of the entire community. The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning all resident apartments, public areas, common spaces, and work areas, ensuring all environments meet the high standards of the community. In addition to cleaning duties, the role includes managing laundry services for residents and the community, maintaining a safe environment, and fostering teamwork. This position requires a friendly, courteous approach, aligned with the mission, vision, and values of the company. The role offers an hourly pay rate of $18 and includes eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package. This entry-level to mid-level role is ideal for individuals passionate about providing care to seniors and contributing positively to their living experience. Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to pass health screening tests including physical and TB tests
  • Ability to comply with COVID-19 related health and safety protocols
  • Strong communication skills
  • Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
  • Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
  • Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
  • Willingness to comply with health and safety requirements related to communicable diseases, including COVID-19 protocols

Job Duties

  • Clean all resident apartments as directed
  • Clean all public areas, common areas, and work areas as directed
  • Complete community and resident laundry and ironing as assigned
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
