The Housekeeping role at Ace Hardware is crucial for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the company's distribution centers. This position involves performing general cleaning and maintenance duties, including sweeping and vacuuming aisles, emptying trash, handling cardboard recycling, and ensuring safety throughout work areas. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to established safety protocols to support the overall operation and efficiency of the facility. Scheduled from Saturday to Wednesday, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, this role supports non-traditional shift needs and is subject to change based on business requirements. Along with cleaning duties, the Housekeeping team member may be responsible for clearing snow and ice during inclement weather, sanitizing common touchpoints such as door handles and phones, and managing housekeeping supplies ordering. Employees in this role are expected to actively participate in maintaining a culture of safety by properly using personal protective equipment, operating powered equipment safely, and contributing to the continuous safety improvements within the facility.
