Job Description
White Lodging is a prominent hospitality company that develops and operates a portfolio of award-winning premium hotels, rooftop bars, and restaurants across some of the United States' most dynamic and thriving cities. Known for their commitment to creating memorable experiences, White Lodging places a strong emphasis on how they make people feel, recognizing that exceptional hospitality is at the heart of their success. The company prides itself on its extensive reach, managing multiple hotel properties in each market which provides abundant opportunities for career advancement that surpass what single-property employers can offer. Benefits begin on the very first day, underscoring their dedication to employee growth and satisfaction from the outset.
The role of Hotel Housekeeper and Guest Room Attendant at White Lodging is a vital position responsible for creating the first impression that guests encounter. As the individual entrusted with maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and sparkle of each guest room and common area, you ensure every visitor feels welcomed and comfortable from the moment they step into the hotel. This position is perfect not only for experienced housekeepers but also for room attendants seeking better benefits or entry-level employees eager to embark on a career path with real potential to grow within the hospitality industry.
In this role, you will be encouraged to deliver the highest standards of housekeeping service by anticipating guest needs and consistently exceeding expectations. The job requires attention to detail and a hands-on approach to ensuring premium-level cleanliness throughout guestrooms and bathrooms. Typical tasks include stripping used linens, removing trash, making beds, dusting all surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and restocking supplies and amenities. Maintaining housekeeping carts in an organized and efficient manner is also key to promoting a professional workflow.
Safety is paramount, and as a housekeeper, you will be expected to practice safety standards at all times while contributing to maintaining a secure environment for both guests and staff. After completing guest rooms, a self-inspection is essential to uphold the quality standards White Lodging is known for, along with submitting accurate room status reports to supervisors. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, as the hospitality business demands working varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
White Lodging values motivation and initiative, seeking team members who bring their best effort to every shift in the fast-paced hotel environment. Physical stamina is required to meet the demands of the role, including the ability to lift moderate weights and endure extended periods of standing and movement. Training is provided for suitable candidates, and certification upon completion marks your readiness to contribute effectively.
Joining White Lodging means becoming part of a diverse and inclusive workplace committed to equal opportunity employment. The company ensures fair consideration for all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or veteran status. Employees benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance starting on day one, life and disability insurance, paid parental leave, and innovative programs like DailyPay, which offers the ability to access pay as needed. A generous 401(k) plan with company matching, paid time off with rollover options, and employee assistance programs foster well-being and financial security. Additional perks include unlimited employee referral bonuses, leadership development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, discounts on hotel rooms, dining, and travel, and excellent growth prospects within the company’s multiple properties.
