Job Requirements
- a high school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of housekeeping experience preferably in a hospital or inpatient facility

Job Duties
- perform routine cleaning of patient rooms patient care units offices clinical areas waiting areas lobbies lounges rest rooms corridors elevators and stairways in a clean neat and sanitary manner
- wash windows walls floors beds furniture upon patient discharge
- apply clean linen on disinfected patient bed
- report any furniture fixtures building equipment repairs required to housekeeping supervisor
- utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
- use and maintain equipment properly
- report safety hazards as appropriate
- transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area
