We are currently seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to join our dynamic housekeeping team. This role is crucial in ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness. The Room Attendant will be responsible for servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with established hotel procedures, which includes making beds, replenishing room supplies, cleaning bathrooms, and ensuring all areas are tidy and inviting. A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to housekeeping duties are essential in this role.

The position involves constant interaction with both the guests and the housekeeping team, making communication skills and a hospitable attitude key components of success. The Room Attendant will be expected to respond promptly to guest requests and report any issues or complaints to management graciously and efficiently to maintain guest satisfaction. Additionally, the role includes managing the housekeeping cart to ensure it is stocked and organized with all necessary supplies, and coordinating with supervisors to prioritize and complete tasks effectively.

This role may require standing and walking for the entire shift and the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. While prior experience in a hotel or related field is preferred, it is not a requirement, as comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided. Working hours average between 36 to 40 per week, with occasional long hours needed during busy periods. Job Requirements

  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred but not required
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly
  • Ability to bend, lift, stand and walk during entire shift
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must be effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues
  • Long hours sometimes required with an average of 36-40 hours per week
  • May be asked to perform other duties as mandated by management

Job Duties

  • Clean guest rooms and stock with appropriate supplies
  • Pick up trash
  • Change linen and make the bed
  • Clean entire bathroom
  • Sweep and dust guest room
  • Clean the windows and balcony
  • Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart
  • Receive assigned section, keys, supplies and priority room requests
  • Turn in keys and unused supplies at shift end
  • Respond to guest requests
  • Report guest issues and complaints
  • Report missing articles, damages or mechanical problems
  • Turn in articles left in the room
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities
  • Provide assistance when needed
