Job Requirements

  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred but not required
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly
  • Ability to bend, lift, stand and walk during entire shift
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must be effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues
  • Long hours sometimes required with an average of 36-40 hours per week
  • May be asked to perform other duties as mandated by management

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred but not required
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly
  • Effective listening and understanding of concerns raised by co-workers and guests
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to follow safety and security procedures and regulations

Job Duties

  • Clean guest rooms and stock with appropriate supplies
  • Pick up trash
  • Change linen and make the bed
  • Clean entire bathroom
  • Sweep and dust guest room
  • Clean the windows and balcony
  • Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart
  • Receive assigned section, keys, supplies and priority room requests
  • Turn in keys and unused supplies at shift end
  • Respond to guest requests
  • Report guest issues and complaints
  • Report missing articles, damages or mechanical problems
  • Turn in articles left in the room
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities
  • Provide assistance when needed
