Job Description

GenCare Lifestyle at Pt. Ruston is a premier senior living community located in Tacoma, specializing in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), and Memory Care services. Recognized as a multiple US News & World Report Community Award winner, GenCare Lifestyle is dedicated to providing exceptional, holistic care that enriches the lives of its residents. The community focuses on creating a warm, supportive environment where seniors can thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally. GenCare Lifestyle embraces the Whole Life Living™ program, which emphasizes wellness through a comprehensive approach targeting the mind, body, and soul. This holistic philosophy ensures that every resident experiences a fulfilling and dignified lifestyle.

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Housekeepers to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of both resident apartments and common areas throughout our community. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly organized, and passionate about helping others. Housekeepers at GenCare Lifestyle contribute directly to our mission of delivering a first-class experience in a harmonious living environment.

Our full-time Housekeeper position offers a competitive benefits package including a base medical plan that is 99% employer-paid, along with dental, vision, and life insurance options available at the employee's expense. Employees accrue paid sick leave and enjoy six paid holidays annually, plus a paid birthday off. Vacation accrual increases with tenure, beginning with one week after one year of employment, increasing to three weeks after nearly four years. Earnings are further enhanced by quarterly raises, eligibility for a 401K with an employer match after six months, and additional leave for bereavement and jury duty. We support ongoing education and professional development with free continuing education units (CEUs) and annual license reimbursements for certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs). Employees also benefit from First Choice Health Employee Assistance Program and complimentary meals during shifts.

At GenCare Lifestyle, housekeepers play a critical role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for our senior residents. Responsibilities include thorough cleaning of resident living areas and common spaces, following rigorous standards to support health and well-being. We require all applicants to pass a criminal background check and demonstrate strong communication skills, including proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking. Prior experience working in senior care settings is preferred but not mandatory. We welcome candidates who are hardworking, kind, and enthusiastic, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors.

Joining GenCare Lifestyle means becoming part of a community committed to excellence, teamwork, and respectful care. We encourage all qualified applicants to submit their resumes and be prepared to meet all employment requirements including background and reference checks.
