Our properties include a variety of housing units, model apartments, and communal facilities such as clubhouses, fitness centers, laundry rooms, and offices. We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Apartment Cleaner to join our full-time team. This role is instrumental in preparing vacant apartment units for new residents and ensuring the ongoing cleanliness of our community areas. The position offers a competitive pay starting at $15 per hour, with the rate depending on experience. As a member of our team, the Apartment Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the apartments and common areas including the models, clubhouse, offices, laundry rooms, and fitness centers.

The role requires an individual who is thorough in their work, capable of assessing cleaning needs continually, and communicating effectively with management about supply requirements. Duties include deep cleaning tasks such as cleaning fixtures, counters, cabinets, windows, appliances (including ovens and areas under refrigerators), bathrooms, blinds, floors, and all communal surfaces. The employee must complete detailed cleaning checklists to confirm that each apartment meets our standards before new residents move in. Apart from cleaning, the role involves some operational tasks like making sure the coffee is stocked and ready each day, keeping janitor closets organized, and occasionally handling additional responsibilities related to Corporate Suites, which might involve cleaning dishes, linens, and replenishing soaps.

This position demands physical stamina as it involves standing, walking, climbing stairs, moving heavy appliances with assistance, and performing various manual cleaning tasks. Attention to safety and the ability to follow specific instructions accurately are also critical. The Apartment Cleaner will work under the guidance of the Property Manager and contribute to creating a pristine and welcoming living environment that enhances residents' experiences and upholds the company’s standards.

Job Requirements

Six months of experience in apartments and/or residential
Able to communicate with Property Manager through written and oral instructions
Must be able to read, speak and understand English for business purposes
Must be able to read and write instructions, short correspondence, memos, service requests, and converse professionally with residents, co-workers, and vendors
Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check including criminal record search, employment verification, and drug screen
Must be physically capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, using hands to handle objects, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, and hearing
Must be able to move appliances like refrigerators, washers, and dryers with assistance
May need to lift heavy objects up to 75 pounds with assistance
Must possess specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Job Qualifications

Six months of experience in apartments and/or residential cleaning
Ability to communicate effectively with Property Manager in written and oral forms
Ability to read, speak, and understand English for business purposes
Capable of reading and writing instructions, short correspondence, memos, and service requests
Professional communication with residents, co-workers, and vendors
Successful completion of pre-employment background check including criminal record search, employment verification, and drug screening

Job Duties

Assess the condition of apartments and areas to be cleaned weekly and notify the Property Manager of necessary supplies
Clean fixtures, counters, cabinets, windows, ovens, bathrooms, blinds, floors, and appliances including areas underneath refrigerators and ovens in vacant units
Turn in completion report (checklist) to Property Manager after each apartment is cleaned
Perform touch-up cleaning of vacant units as needed
Clean models, office, clubhouse, laundry rooms, and fitness centers daily
Maintain office cleanliness by emptying trash, vacuuming, cleaning windows and baseboards, and dusting desks and computer areas
Keep clubhouse refrigerator, cabinets, janitor closets, and floors clean and mopped as needed
Ensure windows, doors, and vents are clean
Stock and maintain coffee supplies daily
Complete all job-related tasks assigned by Property Manager
Carry out additional responsibilities for Corporate Suites including cleaning and changing dishes, linens, and soaps when applicable
