The Housekeeper position at Atria Senior Living is a full-time opportunity offering a competitive wage range of $13.00 to $15.60 per hour, dependent on prior experience and work history. This role is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility, ensuring that residents enjoy a clean, welcoming, and sanitary living environment. The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning a variety of spaces including apartments, common areas, and amenities, both inside and outside, using various cleaning equipment and supplies. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must successfully complete all company specified training programs
- Experience with cleaning and housekeeping preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, vacuums
- Ability to work various schedules and shifts as needed
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Effective communication skills in English
- Knowledge of sanitation practices
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Basic computer skills

Job Duties
- Clean public areas and resident's apartments including bathrooms, kitchens, patios, windows, floors, furniture, and common areas
- Perform all housekeeping duties such as distributing laundered articles and linens, changing beds, cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies, dusting furniture and equipment, polishing metalwork, and washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills
- Perform all laundry duties including washing and drying resident laundry and textiles, folding and/or hanging laundry appropriately, distributing laundered articles and linens, and changing bed linens
- Maintain resident laundry areas including mopping floors, washing walls and checking lint traps regularly
- Wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested
- Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition
- Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies
- Stock the cleaning cart with supplies
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal areas
- Work with maintenance to ensure trash and dumpster areas are clean
- Request maintenance work orders for repairs needed
- Report resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly
- Report potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues promptly to Supervisor
- Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
