The available position at St Joseph's Health is a full-time Cleaning Specialist role, focused primarily on maintaining sanitary conditions across various designated areas within the hospital environment. The working hours are scheduled from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, incorporating every other weekend and holiday, which requires flexibility and a strong work ethic. In this position, the Cleaning Specialist plays a crucial part in patient care by maintaining high standards of cleanliness in patient care areas, non-patient zones, and common spaces. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience operating cleaning equipment
- physical ability to perform heavy manual work
- willingness to work evening shifts including every other weekend and every other holiday
- ability to follow safety protocols and regulatory compliance
- capacity to work overtime and rotating schedules as needed
Job Qualifications
- high school graduate or equivalent preferred
- proficient in operation of cleaning equipment including floor machines, burnishers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaning
- knowledgeable in use of cleaning supplies and chemicals
- effective physical ability to perform heavy work including lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing extensively
- ability to work well with hospital staff, patients, and vendors
- commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- ability to participate in orientation and continuing education
