Aura 35Fifty and Avenue5 Residential are currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join their dynamic team of professionals. This hourly position offers a competitive rate of $20 per hour and involves working within a welcoming, supportive community-oriented work culture. The Housekeeper role is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall quality of the property. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining vacant units, model homes, and common areas such as the pool, gym, and property office to ensure an inviting environment for residents and visitors alike. This includes various cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, window and door cleaning, sanitizing bathrooms, and trash removal.
In addition to routine cleaning, the housekeeper will be expected to adhere strictly to safety standards, follow manufacturer’s guidelines when using cleaning chemicals and equipment, and practice proper infection control measures. Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for this role to uphold the high standards of the community. Effective communication with the property management team is also important to report any repair needs or opportunities for site improvements. The position may require flexibility to work overtime, weekends, non-traditional holidays, and occasionally be on-call to assist with staffing shortages.
Physical demands include the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, and to remain standing, bending, and stooping for extended periods. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to six months of housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy
- Must comply with all safety requirements
- Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment
- Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working overtime, weekends and non-traditional holidays
- May be required to be on-call and aid during staffing deficiencies on-site
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, stand, reach, bend and stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to tolerate stressful situations
- Ability to work under minimal to moderate supervision
- Exposure to various environmental conditions including hot, cold, wet, humid, windy, noise, vibrations, atmospheric conditions and confined or restricted spaces
- Potential exposure to communicable diseases
- Potential exposure to chemicals, electrical shock, heights, mechanical parts or machines, and fire
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Clean available units and/or model homes and common areas such as pool area, gym, property office as directed, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping down trim and molding, cleaning glass windows and doors, sweeping exterior patios, trash pickup and removal, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
- Follow safety standards when performing tasks
- Follow manufacturer’s instructions and manufacturer’s recommendations when using chemicals or operating equipment
- At the end of each shift, clean and properly store equipment and supplies
- Follow proper infection control and universal precautions when performing tasks
- Other duties as directed by property manager
