Job Description

We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Guest Room Attendant to join our dedicated housekeeping team. This pivotal role involves upholding our hotel’s renowned cleanliness standards by ensuring each guest room is spotless, tidy, and well-organized in compliance with our established policies. The Guest Room Attendant will be responsible for daily room maintenance tasks, including making beds, vacuuming carpets, dusting furniture, and thoroughly cleaning bathrooms. This role also requires vigilance in reporting any damages, missing items, or unusual occurrences within guest rooms. Additionally, the attendant will be entrusted with the responsible management of room keys and handling of lost and found items, ensuring the security and integrity of guest property.

The ideal candidate for this position possesses a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or a similar environment is preferred but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided. This role demands excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with the Executive Housekeeper and other team members. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proactive approach, taking initiative in additional cleaning tasks and cooperating fully with supervisory requests. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • basic understanding of cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • good physical health
  • willing to adhere to hotel policies and procedures
  • able to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in housekeeping or hotel maintenance is an advantage
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and hotel cleaning standards
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team
  • physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks
  • attention to detail and reliability

Job Duties

  • Change bed linen daily
  • vacuum carpeting
  • dust all furniture including picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, and dressers
  • remove fingerprints and smudges from mirrors, shiny surfaces, and windows
  • thoroughly clean bathroom area including shower stall, sink, floor, and toilet
  • ensure compliance with standard room set-up
  • report all damages found in rooms immediately
  • report all missing items in rooms immediately
  • report any personal guest items found in vacant rooms immediately
  • notify Executive Housekeeper of rollaways or cribs in rooms for pick-up and storage
  • take responsibility for pass key and turn it in daily
  • turn in all lost and found items to Executive Housekeeper immediately
  • report no luggage, no service needed, sleep outs, extra guests, or anything unusual to Executive Housekeeper immediately
  • shut off all lights, TVs, and air conditioners when leaving room
  • assist housekeeper with additional cleaning chores as assigned
  • perform any other duties as required by supervisors or corporate requests
