This position is within the hospitality industry, specifically working in a hotel environment as a Room Attendant. The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning guest rooms throughout the hotel, both during and after occupancy. Working in coordination with supervisors and within a team, the Room Attendant attends daily line-up meetings to stay updated on operational details and any changes needed to meet housekeeping standards. The role involves inspecting rooms, reporting any anomalies or maintenance issues, and keeping service areas clean and organized.
The daily responsibilities are detailed and task-focused, including making beds according to the training manual, cleaning bathrooms thoroughly, dusting rooms, replenishing amenities, and vacuuming floors. The Room Attendant is expected to follow all housekeeping standards precisely as outlined, highlighting the importance of detail orientation and adherence to protocol. Guest interaction is also a vital part of the role; anticipating guests' needs, responding swiftly to requests, and acknowledging guests promptly to contribute to an inviting and comfortable atmosphere.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Physical stamina and strength to perform prolonged standing and lifting
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
- Good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Ability to clean a minimum of 13 rooms in 8 hours shift
- Ability to stand or walk for 8 consecutive hours
- Ability to safely lift 40 plus lbs
- Ability to communicate effectively with leadership
- Extremely physical position with prolonged standing, walking, bending, carrying and lifting
Job Duties
- Ensure that the standards of excellence for guestrooms cleanliness are followed
- Attend all the daily line-up meetings in the housekeeping office
- Report anomalies in the guestrooms to your supervisor or dispatcher
- Keep the service areas and closets clean at all times
- Maintain the maids cart organized at all times
- Make the bed following the steps specified in the training manual
- Clean the bathroom following the steps specified in the training manual
- Dust the room and replace all the amenities throughout the room
- Vacuum the room thoroughly
- Follow all service standards specified in the Housekeeping Standards
- Report and turn in any Lost and Found items from the guestroom or hallways
- Anticipate guest’s needs, respond promptly to any requests and acknowledge all guests all the time
