Job Description
Generations is a family-first, family-owned, and family-operated company that has been a leader in senior living communities across California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington since 1943. Dedicated to enriching the vitality and joy of residents and staff alike, Generations is deeply committed to creating a home-like atmosphere where each individual’s unique talents and abilities are valued. This storied establishment prides itself on fostering a supportive and nurturing environment, making it a truly unique place to work where families care for families.
At Fairfield Village, part of the Generations family, the Housekeeper role is pivotal in maintaining high cleanliness standards within resident apartments and community common areas. This position is instrumental in ensuring that every resident experiences a comfortable, safe, and welcoming living space. The Housekeeping team does more than clean; they contribute to the overall quality of life for seniors by maintaining the environment in which they live. This includes caring for and managing all housekeeping equipment and tools to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing facility operations.
This part-time position offers a Monday through Thursday schedule, working 6-hour shifts from 2:00 pm to 8:30 pm, providing a balanced work-life routine while offering competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package to eligible full-time employees. Benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) employer match program, employee engagement initiatives, safe work environments, on-the-job training, and opportunities for professional growth.
The role involves cleaning and servicing a variety of spaces including residents’ apartments, common areas, guest rooms, and offices. Housekeepers are responsible for changing linens, performing laundry duties as necessary, spot cleaning carpets, and ensuring timely apartment turnovers when residents move out, all while upholding the mission, vision, and core values of Generations. The housekeeper routinely inspects the physical environment and communicates any repair or replacement needs to maintain facility standards. Importantly, housekeepers play a crucial role in creating and sustaining a home-like atmosphere, supporting both residents and staff members.
Generations values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer. We invite individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of seniors and who are dedicated to teamwork and excellence to join our community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking fulfilling work in a caring and dynamic environment, where they can grow professionally and personally while making a real impact.
