Job Description
This job opportunity is offered by a reputable manufacturing company dedicated to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within its facilities. The company is known for its commitment to providing a clean, safe, and efficient working environment for all its employees and visitors. With an emphasis on quality and attention to detail, this organization values its housekeeping staff as essential contributors to operational success and workplace excellence. The role being advertised is a Housekeeper position, integral to ensuring that offices, guest rooms, facilities, and other specified areas remain in impeccable condition. This position requires a hands-on professional who can reliably perform general cleaning and maintenance duties using various techniques and equipment. The employment type is full-time, designed for individuals who take pride in their work and have a strong willingness to contribute positively to the company’s overall environment and workflow.
The Housekeeper’s primary responsibility is to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the manufacturing facility, including offices, conference rooms, corridors, lobbies, stairways, and guest offices. Duties range from sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, vacuuming carpets, dusting and polishing furniture, to cleaning metal fixtures, wash basins, mirrors, toilets, and glass surfaces. The scope also includes vacuum and shampoo carpets, wash windows as scheduled, and operate mechanized cleaning equipment while maintaining safety and sanitation. The role involves managing waste by emptying trash containers and disposing of trash in a sanitary manner, as well as restocking room supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, and sanitizers to ensure continuous availability.
Housekeepers must be vigilant in monitoring laundry bags, checking appliances in rooms for proper operation, and responding promptly to housekeeping requests such as cleaning spills or addressing broken glass incidents. Organizational skills are critical, as this employee will be responsible for organizing and restocking cleaning carts at the end of shifts to maintain operational preparedness. Following all company safety and security procedures is a must to prevent accidents, injuries, or theft in the workplace. Additionally, the Housekeeper has a duty to report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and any damage to company property immediately to the production supervisor.
The position reports directly to the production supervisor and works closely with all staff across departments to maintain a standard of cleanliness that supports the company’s quality assurance and operational efficiency goals. This role demands physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, bend, and lift or push loads up to 30 lbs. The environment may vary between indoors and outdoors, exposing the employee to dust, cleaning chemicals, tight or enclosed spaces, heights, and temperature extremes. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and some experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not mandatory.
Specialized knowledge in cleaning and sanitation products, methods, and operating cleaning equipment is crucial to succeed in this role. Attention to detail, reliability, and strong organizational skills are essential traits for anyone seeking to excel as a Housekeeper within this environment. The company fosters a supportive work culture where safety and hygiene are prioritized, making this a rewarding opportunity for individuals who appreciate a structured and well-maintained workplace. Overall, this position offers a meaningful career path for someone dedicated to maintaining workplace cleanliness and contributing to a healthy and productive working environment.
