Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
some experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods
working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, and bend
ability to lift, push, and pull required load usually about 30 lbs
ability to work in various adverse conditions including tight or enclosed spaces, heights, and temperature extremes
ability to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Sweep, scrub, mop and/or polish floors
vacuum clean carpets and rugs
shampoo carpets
dust and polish furniture
clean metal fixtures and fittings
empty and clean trash containers
dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
clean wash basins, mirrors, and toilets
wipe down all glass surfaces
wash windows as scheduled
operate mechanized cleaning equipment
maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
clean corridors, lobby, stairways, conference rooms as well as guest offices
distribute supplies using wheeled carts or by hand
restock room supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, and sanitizers
monitor laundry bags and store all dirty laundry in line with company policy
check all appliances in rooms are in working order
respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses
organize and restock cart at the end of the shift
follow all company safety and security procedures
report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
observe and report damage of company property
other duties as assigned
