Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • some experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods
  • working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
  • physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, and bend
  • ability to lift, push, and pull required load usually about 30 lbs
  • ability to work in various adverse conditions including tight or enclosed spaces, heights, and temperature extremes
  • ability to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals

Job Duties

  • Sweep, scrub, mop and/or polish floors
  • vacuum clean carpets and rugs
  • shampoo carpets
  • dust and polish furniture
  • clean metal fixtures and fittings
  • empty and clean trash containers
  • dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
  • clean wash basins, mirrors, and toilets
  • wipe down all glass surfaces
  • wash windows as scheduled
  • operate mechanized cleaning equipment
  • maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
  • clean corridors, lobby, stairways, conference rooms as well as guest offices
  • distribute supplies using wheeled carts or by hand
  • restock room supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, and sanitizers
  • monitor laundry bags and store all dirty laundry in line with company policy
  • check all appliances in rooms are in working order
  • respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses
  • organize and restock cart at the end of the shift
  • follow all company safety and security procedures
  • report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
  • observe and report damage of company property
  • other duties as assigned
