This position is for a Housekeeper who will play a vital role in our facility by ensuring that all resident rooms, common areas, and other spaces are impeccably clean and well-maintained. The Housekeeper's role is central to creating and sustaining a hygienic environment which is critical in assisted living settings where residents' health and comfort are paramount. Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper will be responsible for dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing bed linens, and ensuring that all public areas such as lounges and dining areas are orderly and sanitized. Attention to detail and adherence to infection control protocols are essential components of this role.

The position requires physical stamina and organizational skills as housekeeping tasks often involve repetitive motions and the handling of cleaning equipment and chemicals safely. The Housekeeper must be a dependable team player who communicates professionally with residents and colleagues, respects residents' privacy, and maintains confidentiality. Additional responsibilities include monitoring and replenishing housekeeping supplies, reporting repair needs, and occasionally moving furniture to ensure thorough cleaning. This role offers a pay scale of $18.00 to $20.50 per hour depending on experience and is an equal opportunity role that encourages candidates who meet the qualifications to apply.

Candidates for this role must have a high school diploma or equivalent, health screenings, TB clearance, and criminal record clearance. Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in healthcare or senior living, is highly valuable. Special certifications such as First Aid and CPR are desirable and compliance with California Code of Regulations for client needs is required. Physical fitness is critical, as the role demands standing and walking for extended periods and lifting or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
