Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Required health screening TB clearance and criminal record clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferably in health care or senior living setting
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques products and equipment used in a professional setting
- Understanding of infection control practices and safety protocols
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Physical stamina and fitness
- Strength and dexterity
- Mobility and range of motion
- Endurance
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs
- Respect for resident privacy and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferably in health care or senior living setting
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques products and equipment used in a professional setting
- Understanding of infection control practices and safety protocols
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact with residents and staff in a professional manner
- Dependability and punctuality in adhering to assigned work schedules
- Respect for resident privacy and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- First Aid CPR certification preferred
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms including dusting vacuuming mopping and changing bed linens
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in common areas such as lounges dining areas hallways and restrooms
- Perform regular cleaning tasks such as emptying trash bins cleaning windows and polishing surfaces
- Follow established protocols and safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel promptly
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures to maintain a hygienic environment
- Assist in monitoring and replenishing housekeeping supplies including toiletries towels and cleaning products
- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks effectively
- Uphold the privacy and confidentiality of residents personal belongings and information
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to resident inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- May need to move furniture to ensure cleanliness of designated areas
- Support with additional duties as needed
