Job Requirements

knowledge of basic housekeeping duties
knowledge of all hospital emergency code procedures
knowledge of risk and safety precautions
skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines
skill in telephone etiquette and paging procedures

ability to recommend or take corrective courses of action to improve department systems
ability to communicate effectively with patients and co-workers

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting preferred
knowledge of infection control standards
understanding of hospital safety and emergency procedures
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to follow instructions and work independently
basic computer skills for logging and reporting
physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
commitment to maintaining patient privacy and dignity
ability to work flexible schedules including day shifts and PRN
strong attention to detail and reliability
