Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred

  • able to operate cleaning equipment such as irons, washers, dryers, brooms, mops, and vacuums

Job Duties

  • Clean public areas and apartments including bathrooms, kitchens, patios, windows, floors, furniture, and common areas
  • distribute laundered articles and linens
  • change beds
  • clean public restrooms and replenish supplies
  • sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors
  • clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • dust furniture and equipment
  • polish metalwork
  • wash walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
  • perform laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, hanging, and distributing resident laundry
  • maintain resident laundry areas by mopping floors, washing walls, and checking lint traps
  • wash windows at reasonable heights
  • keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly
  • disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies
  • stock cleaning cart with supplies
  • empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas
  • work with maintenance to keep trash and dumpster areas clean
  • request maintenance work orders as needed
  • report resident issues or changes in health or living status
  • report unsafe or maintenance-related conditions promptly
  • perform other duties as assigned
