Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to operate cleaning machinery
- flexibility to work various shifts
- basic literacy and numeracy
- effective communication skills
- understanding of sanitation standards
- organizational skills
- basic computer proficiency
Job Qualifications
- Successfully complete all company specified training programs
- able to operate cleaning equipment such as irons, washers, dryers, brooms, mops, and vacuums
- able to work various schedules and shifts as needed
- basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
- general knowledge of sanitation
- strong organization and time management skills
- basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Clean public areas and apartments including bathrooms, kitchens, patios, windows, floors, furniture, and common areas
- distribute laundered articles and linens
- change beds
- clean public restrooms and replenish supplies
- sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors
- clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dust furniture and equipment
- polish metalwork
- wash walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- perform laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, hanging, and distributing resident laundry
- maintain resident laundry areas by mopping floors, washing walls, and checking lint traps
- wash windows at reasonable heights
- keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly
- disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies
- stock cleaning cart with supplies
- empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas
- work with maintenance to keep trash and dumpster areas clean
- request maintenance work orders as needed
- report resident issues or changes in health or living status
- report unsafe or maintenance-related conditions promptly
- perform other duties as assigned
