The CHA Somerville Campus is one of the major facilities within this network, offering advanced medical services and specialized care. The organization prides itself on fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace environment, emphasizing equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination practices.

The Environmental Services Department at Cambridge Health Alliance plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitized environment essential for patient safety and overall health outcomes. This team is responsible for ensuring all areas within the hospital, from patient rooms to operating rooms, comply with rigorous sanitation and infection control standards. By meticulously cleaning and maintaining hospital spaces, the Environmental Services team helps reduce the risk of infections and promotes a healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This department is an integral part of the hospital's mission to provide a healing and safe environment for all.

The full-time Environmental Services Technician position at the CHA Somerville Campus offers the opportunity to work in a role that directly impacts the quality of care delivered within a healthcare setting. This evening shift position requires a dedication to thoroughness and attention to detail, as it involves cleaning patient rooms, performing hard floor and carpet care, and employing specialized terminal cleaning techniques in operating rooms. The role demands adherence to approved cleaning procedures and safety protocols to meet the highest standards of environmental hygiene. The position operates on a schedule of 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, including rotating weekends and holidays, contributing 40 hours weekly.
