The Housekeeper will handle cleaning of resident apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios, windows, floors, furniture, and common areas, ensuring each space is spotless and welcoming. Duties include distributing and handling linens, changing beds, and maintaining laundry areas equipped with appliances dedicated for these tasks. The role also requires attention to detail such as dusting furniture, polishing metalwork, washing walls and woodwork, and window cleaning at accessible heights within the community. Additionally, the Housekeeper is responsible for replenishing supplies in public restrooms, handling waste disposal efficiently, and ensuring all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly sanitized and stocked. This position demands excellent time management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both residents and staff, including reporting safety and maintenance issues promptly to supervisors. Basic computer skills and general knowledge of sanitation standards are essential to perform the job successfully. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
  • Good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Must successfully complete all company specified training programs
  • Able to operate cleaning equipment such as iron washer and dryer brooms mops vacuums etc
  • Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed
  • Basic reading writing and mathematical skills
  • Communicate effectively in english with employees and residents
  • General knowledge of sanitation
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills

Job Duties

  • Clean public areas and residents apartments including bathrooms kitchens patios windows floors furniture and common areas
  • Perform all housekeeping duties including distributing laundered articles and linens changing beds cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies as needed sweeping scrubbing waxing and polishing floors cleaning rugs carpets upholstered furniture and draperies dusting furniture and equipment polishing metalwork washing walls woodwork windows door panels and sills
  • Perform all laundry duties including washing and drying resident laundry and textiles in provided appliances folding and or hanging laundry appropriately distributing laundered articles and linens changing bed linens
  • Maintain resident laundry areas including mopping floors washing walls and checking lint traps regularly
  • Wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested
  • Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition
  • Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies
  • Stock the cleaning cart with supplies
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area
  • Work with maintenance to ensure that the trash and dumpster areas are clean
  • Request maintenance work orders for any maintenance repairs needed
  • Report resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly
  • Report potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues promptly to supervisor
  • May perform other duties as needed and or assigned
