The Housekeeper position at Crothall Healthcare, based at Skagit Regional Health in Mount Vernon, Washington, plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role is available both full-time and part-time, with shifts scheduled Monday through Friday, from 5:00 pm to 1:30 am, offering a pay range from $17.73 to $22.40 per hour. Housekeepers will perform essential cleaning duties such as making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, vacuuming carpets and furnishings, and maintaining sanitary waste disposal practices. This role is crucial in upholding the health and safety standards required in a healthcare setting, contributing directly to patient comfort and satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to work Monday through Friday evening shifts from 5:00 pm to 1:30 am
  • physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing for long periods
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to pass background check and drug screening

Job Duties

  • dusts and polishes furniture and fittings
  • cleans metal fixtures and fittings
  • empties and cleans trash containers
  • disposes of trash in a sanitary manner
  • cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
  • wipes down glass surfaces
  • makes up beds and changes linens as required
  • realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
  • responds to guest queries and requests
  • responds to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills and broken glasses
  • contributes to team efforts and exhibits professionalism with customers and associates
  • performs other duties as assigned
