Job Requirements
- No prior experience or training required
- Interest in the elderly
- Ability to speak, read and understand English
- Ability to be understood clearly by residents
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public
- Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel
- Availability to work beyond normal hours including weekends
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours
- Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress
- Possession of sight/hearing or prosthetics adequate for the role
- Good general health and emotional stability
- Ability to lift, push, pull, move, and manipulate at least 50 pounds
- Ability to assist in resident evacuation

Job Duties
- Daily cleaning of offices, residents' rooms, lobby, restrooms, and other common areas as assigned
- Provide economical and safe use of supplies and equipment
- Clean and vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies
- Empty wastebaskets, transport and dispose of trash into main trash bends
- Replenish clean linens, towels, and toilet items
- Change bed linen
- Clean, dust and polish furniture and equipment
- Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked and clean
- Clean inside window and windowsills, and door panels
- Clean restrooms, sinks, toilets, showers, and fixtures
- Polish water fountains
- Laundry
