Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • three to six months experience in housekeeping or janitorial position preferred
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds with assistance occasionally
  • ability to walk, stand, push, stoop, bend, and stretch frequently
  • ability to climb and descend ladders and stairs
  • medium work physical capability
  • willingness to comply with vaccination requirements where applicable
  • strong work ethic
  • reliable and punctual
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clean offices and common areas including meeting rooms, hallways, reception area, and laundry rooms
  • vacuum carpet
  • mop/sweep tile and other hard surface flooring
  • dust furniture and lamps
  • clean mirrors and interior glass surfaces
  • wipe window blinds
  • remove cobwebs from light fixtures and other areas
  • clean laundry machines including clearing filters and wiping down
  • clean bathrooms including mopping floors, sanitizing sinks and toilets, restocking supplies, wiping mirrors
  • clean employee break room including defrosting and wiping refrigerator
  • remove expired items from refrigerator
  • clean resident apartments during turnovers
  • wash community windows inside and outside biannually
  • mop stairways as required
  • clean and polish trash chutes and mop/sweep trash room floors
  • clean guest suites including laundering linens, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning kitchens, restocking items, putting away guest conveniences
  • complete and submit maintenance slips
  • maintain all housekeeping equipment and supplies
  • perform deep cleaning every 30 to 60 days
  • support and promote a culture of hospitality and employee engagement
