Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency preferred
Previous custodial experience preferred
Ability to lift 50 pounds following appropriate safety procedures
Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods
Ability to crawl in small and tight spaces
Ability to work in various environmental conditions such as heat, cold, wind, and rain
Ability to walk and climb stairs
Ability to handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and equipment
Ability to reach with hands and arms
Ability to navigate property and buildings quickly and easily
Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions
Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 3 feet

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency preferred
Previous custodial experience preferred
Multiple language fluency desirable
Strong customer service skills
Strong communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to follow safety and security procedures
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Ability to respond quickly to emergencies

Job Duties

Performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs, and window cleaning
Informs supervisor of needed supplies
Maintains all cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals
Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning
Properly utilizes new equipment and follows safety procedures prior to use
Maintains a friendly and professional attitude
Maintains the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas
Inspects assigned areas daily and reports cleaning and maintenance discrepancies to supervisor
Ensures security procedures are adhered to at all times
Follows all safety precautions while performing work
Completes daily work orders as scheduled
Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition
Cleans restrooms by sweeping and mopping floors, refilling dispensers, cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, counters, and removing trash
Reports any discrepancies or deficiencies to supervisor
