Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in hospitality or a related service industry preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
  • Strong interpersonal and guest service skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be physically capable of performing tasks including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive hand motions, and lifting
  • Must be able to handle stressful and fast-paced working conditions
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Reliable punctuality and attendance
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to use technology relevant to housekeeping operations
  • Must adhere to company grooming and uniform standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Effective listening, conflict resolution skills
  • Clear communication skills
  • Desire to provide hospitality and guest service
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job
  • Willingness to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at scheduled times
  • Adherence to clocking in and out for breaks as scheduled
  • Providing sufficient notice when calling out of scheduled shifts

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names when possible to ensure a warm welcome
  • Work collaboratively to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
  • Support all groups and events at the hotel
  • Use relevant technology efficiently for the role
  • Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using approved greetings
  • Keep all workspaces spotless and well-organized
  • Participate in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet every guest happily with a smile while cleaning
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and timely each shift
  • Prepare accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform, be well-groomed, wear a nametag, and smile at all times
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with all team members
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude willing to go beyond traditional roles
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a welcoming environment and positive workplace
  • Complete pre-cleaning duties including stocking room supplies and tools
  • Attend morning stand-up meetings
  • Fold and assist with dirty linen in housekeeping laundry room
  • Thoroughly clean and restock assigned guest rooms each shift
  • Perform additional cleaning projects in storage rooms, public spaces, guest laundry, and deep room cleaning as assigned
  • Ensure all front and back of house areas are well-organized and clean
