The Palace Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel in San Francisco, is currently seeking dedicated full-time Housekeeping staff to join their team. Located in the heart of the city at 2 New Montgomery Street, this role offers an hourly wage ranging from $24.57 to $32.76 and is classified as a non-management position. The job includes a comprehensive package of benefits such as medical coverage, retirement plans, paid time off including sick days, life insurance, disability coverage, and a variety of other wellness benefits, all subject to eligibility and conditions.

This role is critical in shaping the guests' experience during their stay. Imagine a guest entering their room and seeing the impeccable, neat arrangement of bedding, perfectly placed pillows, and spotless mirrors and surfaces. The sense of arriving at a 'home away from home' is crafted through the meticulous efforts of the housekeeping team. Each detail, from dust-free walls to well-organized furniture, contributes to creating an exceptional environment that invites repeat visits and loyalty.

The responsibilities for this position include replacing guest amenities and room supplies, making beds and folding linens, removing trash and soiled linens, greeting guests warmly and responding to their requests, arranging desks and furniture, dusting, polishing, erasing marks from walls and furniture, vacuuming carpets, and executing floor cleaning tasks. The role requires physical stamina to lift and move up to 25 pounds and to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods while maintaining a professional appearance with a clean uniform.

At the Palace Hotel, the cultural atmosphere promotes teamwork, motivated management, wellness programs, continued learning and growth opportunities, and employee recognition programs. Staff also enjoy discounts on hotel rooms, gift shop items, and food and beverage services. The ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor, a strong team orientation, and an eye for detail. While no prior experience or supervisory skills are necessary, a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Safety training and certification will be provided before employment.

Marriott International fosters an inclusive work environment where diversity in background, talent, and experience is celebrated, providing a platform for employees to bring their best self to work. Those joining the Palace Hotel's Housekeeping team become part of a global family dedicated to genuine hospitality and unique cultural storytelling. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a tangible impact on guest satisfaction and who take pride in their work as part of a renowned luxury brand.Show Less
