Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to work full time
Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift as required
Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
Ability to follow safety protocols and report hazards
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

Previous housekeeping experience desirable
Engaging and friendly personality
Good time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work on feet for extended periods
Ability to lift, carry and position loads of at least 25 pounds
Ability to move and navigate with carts weighing up to 100 pounds in tight spaces
Ability to operate cleaning equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters

Job Duties

Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well
Be thorough in the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas
Change and inspect linens and towels daily following the standards
Develop knowledge and skills in the most effective cleaning methods
Practice safety standards and be aware of safety hazards and report them
Commit to the equitable treatment of all associates
Value team contributions and respect hotel and guest property
Perform deep cleaning and preventative maintenance scheduled programs
Use power equipment when applicable
Observe precautions to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft and found articles
Work as a team to accomplish the goal of hotel cleanliness
Make rounds through halls to ensure public areas are disinfected, clean and tidy
Be available for all other work as required
