Job Requirements

  • Ability to work full time
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift as required
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and report hazards

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping experience desirable
  • Engaging and friendly personality

  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry and position loads of at least 25 pounds
  • Ability to move and navigate with carts weighing up to 100 pounds in tight spaces
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters

Job Duties

  • Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well
  • Be thorough in the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas
  • Change and inspect linens and towels daily following the standards
  • Develop knowledge and skills in the most effective cleaning methods
  • Practice safety standards and be aware of safety hazards and report them
  • Commit to the equitable treatment of all associates
  • Value team contributions and respect hotel and guest property
  • Perform deep cleaning and preventative maintenance scheduled programs
  • Use power equipment when applicable
  • Observe precautions to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft and found articles
  • Work as a team to accomplish the goal of hotel cleanliness
  • Make rounds through halls to ensure public areas are disinfected, clean and tidy
  • Be available for all other work as required
