Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous custodial experience preferred, especially in healthcare or hospitality
- strong written and oral communication skills
- ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions in English
- physical ability to lift 50 pounds
- ability to operate motorized cleaning equipment
- willingness to work varying shifts
- ability to wear and use personal protective equipment
- adherence to safety protocols for handling chemicals and biological hazards

Job Duties
- Cleans and disinfects patient rooms, beds, gurneys, examination tables, restrooms, offices, and common hospital areas to established standards
- performs terminal cleaning of patient rooms and special procedure rooms according to standard procedures
- collects and disposes of regular trash, regulated medical waste, and recyclable materials
- collects and removes soiled linen into appropriate bins
- replenishes hand soap, hand sanitizer, and other supplies as needed
- dust mops floors with microfiber using standard operating procedures
- wet mops floors with disinfectant using microfiber material following standard procedures
- dusts horizontal and vertical surfaces, furniture, walls, fixtures, air vents, handrails, blinds, windows, and sills
- handles cleaning chemicals in compliance with guidelines and uses appropriate personal protective equipment
- may perform floor care including buffing, stripping, refinishing, scrubbing baseboards, earthquake joints, and thresholds
- may deliver linen in accordance with medical facility policies and document linen usage
- reports maintenance needs to supervisor
- performs other duties as assigned
