About the Role:
The Room Attendant/Housekeeper position is a critical role responsible for maintaining guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. Reporting directly to the Head of Housekeeping, the role focuses on creating a warm and welcoming environment where guests can feel confident in the cleanliness and upkeep of their accommodations. This role demands a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and professional demeanor in adhering to the hotel’s strict cleanliness and safety protocols.
Key responsibilities include cleaning all assigned guest rooms thoroughly—changing linens, replenishing supplies, dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting bathrooms, and ensuring all furniture and appliances are well maintained. The Housekeeper is also responsible for using safe chemical handling procedures, maintaining a neat workspace, reporting deficiencies, and communicating effectively with housekeeping leadership and team members. Regular interaction with guests requires a positive attitude and a customer service-oriented approach. Additionally, the position involves participation in hotel safety training, departmental meetings, and assisting with the training of new housekeeping staff.
