The Housekeeper position at RPM Living is an integral role responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of multifamily housing properties, including grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing offices, parking lots, and common areas. This role demands a strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and property safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams and contractors. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in enhancing the resident experience by ensuring the common areas and surrounding property are pristine and well-maintained.

This role involves performing regular custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal. Additionally, the Housekeeper will support grounds maintenance through tasks like picking up trash, cleaning dumpster areas, trash rooms, and trash chutes, as well as blowing off parking areas and sidewalks. A keen eye for detail is essential when cleaning breezeways, removing cobwebs, and addressing cleanliness in lighting fixtures. The position also involves some light maintenance work, including interior and exterior painting.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders and access various areas of the property
  • Ability to push or pull items and reach overhead
  • Ability to bend, stoop or kneel
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers and ability to grasp tools
  • Visual acuity to inspect and read computer screens
  • Ability to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over phone or computer
  • Occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, sometimes with assistance
  • Ability to operate computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
