Job Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience preferred
hard surface (resilient floor) care experience a plus
valid Florida Driver's license
good physical and mental health
ability to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull, and work a flexible schedule
capable of continuous movement during work hours
ability to lift and/or carry 25 to 45 pounds

Job Qualifications

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
verbal and written communication skills
ability to prepare and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public
previous housekeeping experience highly preferred
familiarity with hard surface (resilient floor) care is a plus
valid Florida Driver's license

Job Duties

Operate mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums
maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning, and replacement of equipment and furnishings
clean up human waste and other body fluids as required
dispose of trash, waste, and other disposable materials
handle cleaning solvents and chemicals complying with OSHA, EPA, and State Health Department regulations
follow job assignments and cleaning procedures
damp dust furniture, light fixtures, and windowsills
empty trash containers daily
wet mop floors in all rooms and bathrooms and damp mop corridors, lobbies, and dining areas
clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, showers, and air vents
report needed repairs immediately to supervisor
wash windows as scheduled
check areas periodically for spills and hazards
use germicidal solutions as instructed
perform other duties as assigned
