Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors
  • Uses proper cleaning techniques and procedures to prevent the spread of infections and disease
  • Displays knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their use
  • Handles waste disposal and transports waste to appropriate disposal areas
  • Replenishes paper supplies and hand soap in bathrooms
  • Performs routine and spot cleaning on carpeted flooring
  • Cleans interior and/or exterior windows and mini blinds as assigned
  • Maintains work areas, equipment, workstations clean
  • Keeps adequate cleaning supplies and paper products stocked
  • Orders supplies as needed
  • Notifies maintenance and supervisors of any work requisitions
  • Maintains professional and courteous relationships with staff, patients, families, and guests
  • Attends meetings and training as required
  • Completes and maintains accurate checklists and paperwork
  • Ensures adherence to company policies, safety, sanitation guidelines, and employee handbook
  • Performs other duties as assigned
