Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in housekeeping or environmental cleaning preferred
- strong attention to detail
- good communication skills
- ability to work as part of a team
- physical capability for standing and lifting
- availability to work rotating shifts including weekends
- pass criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- Experience in environmental cleaning and sanitation in the healthcare industry (preferred)
- ability to understand oral and written communication
- willingness to follow instructions
- ability to interact tactfully and respectfully with residents, guests, and staff
- ability to pass a criminal background check
- physical ability to lift 35 pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds occasionally
Job Duties
- Clean common areas, resident's rooms and bathrooms
- vacuum, sweep, empty trash cans, dust, and mop floors
- ensure each resident's room is cleaned based on the resident's needs
- monitor and report any maintenance issues
- keep track of cleaning supplies and request refills or replacements
- stand or walk the majority of the shift
- lift, bend, reach and twist as necessary
