The House Person will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order across all public and associate areas of the hotel. This position requires attention to detail and consistently upholding the company’s high standards while embracing its culture and values. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, carpets, glass surfaces, restrooms, meeting rooms, and fitness centers, as well as managing trash and handling lost and found items. This role also involves duties such as snow removal, reporting maintenance issues, assisting with deliveries, and communicating effectively with guests and team members. The House Person ensures that safety practices, especially in chemical use and daily operations, are observed to provide a safe environment for guests and staff alike.

This full-time position demands physical stamina, the ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment, and the capability to lift or carry up to 75 pounds. Job Requirements

  • Working in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
  • Requests assistance as needed
  • Requires strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate to guests and team members verbally or in written form
  • At all times projects a favorable image of the hotel to the public
  • Must have open availability work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds

  • Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain the tile floors using wet mop, dry mop and extractor or buffer as you mop set up safety signs mop only one half of an area at a time so that you leave a dry traffic area for people to walk
  • Vacuum carpeted areas
  • Clean glass doors and windows
  • Dust all surfaces
  • Report all maintenance issues
  • Empty trash from housekeeper carts, as well as trash cans throughout the hotel and exterior
  • Clean and restock public and associate restrooms
  • Clean and reset meeting rooms, to include cleaning the bathrooms located within a meeting room
  • Clean fitness center, sanitizing machines
  • Bring all items left in public areas to Housekeeping office for lost and found handling
  • Clean outside parking areas of trash and debris
  • Snow removal on sidewalks and at entrances
  • Reports unusual circumstances to Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Practice chemical use safety: never mix chemicals and store chemicals in properly labeled containers
  • Assist with the delivery of supplies, cribs, and rollaways beds to guest rooms
  • Assist with delivering luggage or packages to guest room, when requested
