Job Description

We are a private household seeking a reliable and detail-oriented House Manager/Housekeeper to join our team on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday, generally from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on-site. This role offers some flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends, particularly when events or hosting require additional support. Our household values professionalism, discretion, and a warm, respectful attitude to maintain a smooth and well-functioning environment.

Our household prides itself on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and hospitality. As a House Manager/Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in both hands-on housekeeping and proactive household management. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-maintained home where residents and guests feel comfortable and welcomed at all times. This position demands a calm and professional demeanor with an unobtrusive presence, ensuring that work is completed quietly, efficiently, and to the highest standards — often without the need for supervision or reminders.

Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of tasks including all aspects of housekeeping such as laundry, organization of storage areas, and management of household supplies. You will work closely with the Chief of Staff to oversee maintenance schedules and coordinate with various service providers such as landscapers, handymen, and repair technicians. Part of your role will also involve vendor coordination, supervising work, and following up to ensure services are completed satisfactorily.

Beyond housekeeping, you will support events and hosting activities by assisting with the preparation, execution, and cleanup of dinner parties, gatherings, and other hosted events. This includes event setup such as table settings, décor preparation, and vendor coordination, as well as assisting during events with serving and maintaining cleanliness. Being available for occasional evening and weekend hours is essential for this aspect of the role.

In addition, you will act as a personal assistant providing lifestyle support through running personal errands, managing travel preparation tasks like packing and unpacking, and assisting with household-related special projects. Flexibility and adaptability are key attributes, as the household’s needs may evolve over time, requiring you to adjust your responsibilities and schedule accordingly.

The position offers excellent benefits including healthcare and competitive paid time off, along with the perks of daily meals and parking. We seek candidates with strong English communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred but not mandatory.

If you are a highly organized, proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards with discretion and professionalism, and you enjoy creating a welcoming and comfortable home environment, we encourage you to apply for this fulfilling role. Join us and make a meaningful contribution to the smooth operation of a busy, dynamic private household, supporting daily routines and special events with grace and efficiency.
