The organization prides itself on fostering an inclusive environment that promotes personal growth, community integration, and self-determination for those it serves. Chimes is known for its commitment to professional excellence, adherence to regulatory standards, and compassionate care.
The House Manager position at Chimes is a full-time role with an annual compensation of $52,000. This position operates under the general supervision of the Director of Residential Services and is integral to the effective running of a residential home. The House Manager leads the direct care team in delivering person-centered support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. This role combines both hands-on caregiving responsibilities with strong managerial duties, ensuring the residential setting is safe, nurturing, and compliant with agency policies and regulations.
In this capacity, the House Manager is responsible for supervising direct care staff, including Lead Staff and Direct Support Professionals, maintaining high standards of care and operational efficiency. The role requires coordinating staff training, conducting performance evaluations, and managing disciplinary procedures alongside the Division Manager. The House Manager also plays a critical role in managing the home's fiscal responsibilities, such as overseeing household budgets, petty cash, and individual funds. This includes ensuring proper documentation and accountability to maintain financial integrity.
Beyond administrative and supervisory duties, the House Manager ensures the performance of regular safety checks, medication management, incident reporting, and emergency preparedness activities. Daily operational tasks include maintaining cleanliness and organization within the residence and assigned vehicles, supporting individuals with transportation needs, and facilitating communication with external stakeholders such as families and healthcare providers. Engaging with individuals served to promote personal growth and quality leisure activities is another key element of the role.
This position demands strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively within a dynamic residential care environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative setting, working closely with staff, individuals served, healthcare professionals, and community partners to promote excellence in service delivery. Continuous professional development and commitment to agency values underpin the House Manager's role, contributing to the overall mission of enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.
