The House Attendant role at Highgate Hotels is a part-time position focused on maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel’s assigned areas and equipment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that guests experience a high level of comfort and satisfaction during their stay. Responsibilities include daily buffing of marble floors, shampooing carpeted public areas, and furniture cleaning as needed according to hotel standards. The House Attendant will also assist guests with luggage, handle lost and found items appropriately, and deliver items such as newspapers or express checkout materials to guestrooms. Besides upkeep duties, the role requires knowledge and active assistance during emergency procedures. The individual in this role must maintain hotel equipment in proper working condition and ensure orderly storage of equipment in designated areas. Completing special housekeeping projects and fully supporting the Housekeeping Manager’s directives are also key parts of the position. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy objects, and excellent communication skills to interact courteously and efficiently with both guests and colleagues. This role is essential in driving overall guest satisfaction by maintaining high cleanliness and service standards throughout the hotel property.
