The House Attendant role at River Terrace Inn is a full-time position essential to maintaining the impeccable cleanliness and organization of both guest-facing and service areas within the hotel. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the housekeeping team by ensuring that all public spaces such as lobbies, restrooms, elevators, meeting rooms, hallways, and fitness centers meet the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. Additionally, House Attendants assist room attendants by restocking supplies, delivering linens and amenities, and helping with various guest requests, ensuring that both guests and staff enjoy a smooth and enjoyable hotel experience.

This role requires an energetic individual with a positive attitude and strong service orientation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capability to lift and move heavy items as needed
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • Flexible schedule availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

  • Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all public areas such as lobbies, elevators, corridors, restrooms, fitness center, meeting spaces, and other common areas
  • Remove trash and soiled linens from guest rooms and housekeeping carts
  • Deliver clean linen, towels, and amenities to guest rooms and housekeeping stations
  • Assist room attendants with tasks such as bed making, heavy lifting, or fulfilling special guest requests
  • Restock housekeeping closets and storage areas with supplies and linen
  • Keep all public and service areas neat, safe, and well-organized
  • Adhere to project cleaning schedules for deep cleaning and special assignments in public areas
  • Promptly report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner
  • Follow all safety and sanitation protocols including proper chemical usage
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
