Job Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • preferably in a luxury hotel
  • ability to multi-task, work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to work as a team and with a diverse team
  • ability to communicate and read effectively in English
  • standing up to 8 hours and ability to lift 30lbs

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain guest hallways, service landings, stairwells, service elevators, and storage rooms
  • dust and clean all furniture, fixtures, hallway phones, mirrors, lamps, pictures, and ice machines
  • reposition misplaced furniture and clean service landing doors and kick plates regularly
  • report any deficiencies, damages, recurring issues, missing or broken items, stains, or unusual circumstances to the Supervisor or Housekeeping Management
  • implement VIP designation procedures in line with the Peninsula Service Principles and Standards
  • forward all lost and found items to the housekeeping office or Security
  • follow all emergency regulations and departmental policies and procedures
  • respond to guest requests within 10 minutes, using names discreetly and presenting items professionally
