This role involves maintaining public hotel areas in accordance with established brand and guest service standards as well as sustainability protocols. The candidate will actively engage in a variety of housekeeping tasks such as greeting guests warmly, inspecting and cleaning assigned areas, managing linen logistics, and responding to guests' needs. The role offers a clear growth path, including opportunities to advance to roles such as Housekeeping Supervisor, Guest Service Agent, Executive Housekeeper, or Front Office Manager. Employees in this position will be expected to work collaboratively, uphold safety standards including OSHA and MSDS guidelines, and participate in sustainability practices linked to the hotel’s EarthView program.
The ideal candidate will have prior housekeeping experience or equivalent training, preferably supported by at least a high school diploma. This role demands physical stamina and the ability to perform duties that require standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, and walking. The work schedule is variable, including potential shifts on holidays, weekends, and alternate times. Job Duties
- Greet and acknowledge guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- Inspect assigned areas and perform cleaning tasks accordingly
- Collect trash from the service landings and dispose of in outside trash dumpsters
- Vacuum and dust guest corridors
- Pick up bed and other linen from hotel floors and transport to the laundry collection site
- Deliver clean linen to assigned sections
- Report maintenance issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest areas
- Respond to guest inquiries and assistance
- Work as a room attendant when staffing shortages occur or during peak periods
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Perform other duties as requested by management
