HHM Hotels is a distinguished entity within the hospitality industry, celebrated for delivering exceptional guest experiences through its Echelon Luxury & Lifestyle division. As a leader in luxury accommodations, HHM Hotels prides itself on its commitment to excellence, sustainability, and inclusivity. The company is dedicated to fostering a workplace culture that values diversity and equal opportunity, ensuring a supportive environment where all employees are respected and valued regardless of race, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, age, religion, disability, veteran status, genetic information, citizenship status, or any other legally protected classification. This commitment underscores HHM Hotels' status as an employer of choice in the competitive hotel market.
The House Person role at HHM Hotels epitomizes the company’s dedication to outstanding guest service and sustainable hotel operations. This full-time position is crucial to maintaining the pristine condition and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel’s public and guest areas. A House Person’s daily responsibilities encompass a wide range of cleaning and maintenance activities ensuring all public spaces meet the high standards established by the HHM Hotels brand. These duties include greeting guests warmly and professionally, acknowledging their presence with courtesy, and assisting with any inquiries, contributing directly to a positive guest experience.
In this role, the House Person is accountable for inspecting assigned areas methodically, performing cleaning tasks such as vacuuming and dusting guest corridors, collecting and disposing of trash properly, and managing linen logistics by picking up soiled bed linens and delivering clean ones to designated sections. This position also involves reporting maintenance issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency and guest safety. Flexibility is essential, as the House Person may be called upon to act as a room attendant during staffing shortages or busy periods, underscoring the role’s dynamic nature within the housekeeping department.
HHM Hotels emphasizes sustainability through its EarthView program, and the House Person is expected to adhere to these environmentally responsible guidelines and practices. The role requires vigilance in practicing safe work habits, including the appropriate use of protective safety equipment, and compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, ensuring both personal safety and regulatory compliance.
Career progression within HHM Hotels is clearly outlined, with the House Person role providing growth opportunities into supervisory and guest service management positions such as Housekeeping Supervisor, Guest Service Agent, Executive Housekeeper, or Front Office Manager. This pathway indicates the company’s investment in employee development and professional advancement.
The work environment is physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, and lifting items up to 25 pounds. Moreover, the role demands flexibility in scheduling, as shifts may vary to include weekends, holidays, and alternate hours, demonstrating the hotel’s commitment to comprehensive guest service coverage.
Overall, the House Person role at HHM Hotels is integral to upholding the brand’s reputation for luxury hospitality. It is ideal for candidates who possess previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training, a high school diploma preferred, and a dedication to guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and sustainable practices. HHM Hotels offers a supportive, inclusive work culture with a focus on employee and guest wellbeing, positioning itself as a premier employer in the hospitality sector.
