This job opening is for a full-time Housekeeping position within the Housekeeping and Laundry department, categorized as a non-management role. The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning showers and bathrooms in both public and employee areas, maintaining glass surfaces, and ensuring floors are spotless using designated chemicals and equipment. Regular tasks include dusting surfaces, emptying trash bins, ashtrays, and ensuring proper disposal all while inspecting furniture for damage, cleanliness, and reporting any issues. Additional duties include cleaning and maintaining lighting fixtures, placing caution signs to ensure safety, and coordinating with other hotel departments for urgent repairs. The role requires proactive responses to guest and departmental service requests, identifying preventive or maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
Adherence to all company safety policies and procedures is mandatory, along with reporting any hazards, accidents, or maintenance concerns. The Housekeeper must maintain a professional appearance, respect company confidentiality, and support a positive team environment. The role demands physical abilities such as standing, sitting, kneeling, walking for extended periods, moving objects up to 55 pounds, and navigating various physical environments including stairs, ramps, and narrow spaces.
