The Housekeeping Houseperson position is a critical supporting role within EOS Hospitality’s housekeeping department. The individual in this position plays an essential part in maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the hotel premises, thereby supporting Room Attendants and ensuring guests experience a welcoming and immaculate environment. The role offers opportunities for day and night shift work, providing flexibility for various schedules. Key responsibilities include assisting with stripping vacant rooms by managing soiled linen and terry, delivering goods and supplies to guest floors, and performing detailed cleaning tasks in public areas and guest areas alike. This position requires a dedicated professional who is capable of carrying out physical demands such as lifting, pushing, pulling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods while also exhibiting a strong work ethic and cooperative attitude.
This position demands thorough knowledge and strict compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and equipment maintenance. In addition, the successful candidate must be capable of motivating and collaborating with colleagues, maintaining confidentiality of guest information, and adapting to a flexible schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. There is an expectation for a neat and well-groomed appearance, reinforcing the professional image of the organization. The position also emphasizes physical stamina and dexterity, ensuring that tasks such as sweeping, shampooing, and transporting heavy items are performed efficiently and safely.

Job Requirements
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill necessary tasks
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75lbs on a regular and continuing basis
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs on a regular and continuing basis
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent education preferred
- 1 to 2 years previous experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel preferred
- Ability to motivate and inspire others to work cooperatively to achieve a designated goal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Hotel data
- Flexible schedule willing and able to work shift duties including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance according to designated standards
Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards, and correct maintenance and use of equipment
- Assist Room Attendants with stripping vacant rooms including soiled linen and terry and trash as needed at the discretion of management and/or supervisor
- Deliver miscellaneous goods and supplies to guest rooms and deliver linen and supplies to guest floors
- Shampoo hallways, rooms, and public areas
- Remove dirty linen from guest floors
- Remove trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and remove trash and linen from cleaning carts
- Clean elevator car and tracks
- Sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, dust furniture and fixtures and clean ashtrays
- Make up and deliver roll-a-way beds
- Move furniture, supplies, and equipment
- Perform any other job-related duties assigned by supervisor
