Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a sushi chef
  • ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
  • willingness to work full-time Monday through Friday
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ability to maintain a clean workstation
  • compliance with company safety policies including use of gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • ability to lift and handle kitchen equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a sushi chef
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • high-level knife skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • ability to adhere to safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present sushi and related food products to customers
  • demonstrate high-level knife and sushi preparation skills
  • store foods following food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and serving temperatures
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, supplies, utensils and workstation
  • interact with customers to enhance dining experience and explain menu items
  • keep up with peak production and service hours
  • perform other duties as assigned
