Job Requirements

  • Current student or high school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English
  • Certified in all stations following the DHC Training Program
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift 50 - 75 lbs comfortably
  • Ability to work in close quarters and around heat
  • Positive attitude while conducting duties
  • Commitment to Guest satisfaction and viewing operations from a Guest's perspective
  • Effective communicator with co-workers and management
  • Excellent organization, planning, time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have reliable transportation to work, a driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Must have telephone or other reliable method of communication with supervisor and co-workers

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in restaurant or retail leadership roles preferred
  • Certified in all stations following the DHC Training Program
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Effective problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic cash handling and administrative skills

Job Duties

  • Follow the steps outlined in the DHC Training Program to learn and train new skills, duties, and responsibilities
  • Abide by and enforce the rules and direction given by the Restaurant Management Team and refrains from insubordination
  • Communicate to their immediate Supervisor when additional training guidance and practice is needed
  • Effectively and consistently perform required Ops Walks and Q&A checks to correct areas of opportunity
  • Organize shift schedules for Team Members and monitor attendance, tardiness, and time off
  • Assign duties to specific Team Members based on role and skills
  • Greet Guests, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a positive and helpful attitude
  • Ensure Team Members prepare menu items following cooking instructions, safety, and sanitary procedures
  • Use kitchen machinery such as ice cream dispensers, fryers, and warmers
  • Ensure daily restaurant cleanliness including clearing tables, sweeping, mopping, washing, sanitizing utensils, and servicing restrooms
  • Handle Guest concerns and complaints professionally to resolve problems per policy
  • Maintain neat and tidy appearance adhering to the uniform policy
  • Provide direction, supervision, and feedback to maintain high productivity and morale
  • Communicate Team Member work performance to management and address performance issues
  • Train new and current Team Members on tasks
  • Balance cash drawers and prepare deposits as assigned
  • Plan, organize, and implement all daily operational routines and activities
  • Complete required administrative duties including checklists
  • Supervise and perform opening and closing activities as directed
  • Establish an environment of trust promoting open communication
  • Role model positive business and personnel practices
  • Follow company guidelines for food and cash controls and cost control measures
  • Communicate effectively with Team Members and Management to resolve interpersonal issues
