Job Description
About the Company:
This position is offered by a well-established restaurant renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. Specializing in fast-paced quick service cuisine, the restaurant has built a strong reputation for quality, service speed, and customer satisfaction. As a thriving business in the hospitality industry, the restaurant focuses on creating a positive work environment that encourages personal growth, teamwork, and leadership development among its staff.
About the Role: The Hourly Shift Coordinator (HSC) serves as the Shift Leader during assigned shifts, playing a crucial role in supporting both the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and Assistant Manager (AM) to ensure seamless restaurant operations and outstanding guest service. This leadership position requires the HSC to manage a team of Team Members, drive key performance indicators related to sales, guest satisfaction, and profitability, and uphold brand and operational standards. The HSC is responsible for directing the shift team to deliver accurate, prompt, and friendly service in a clean environment while maintaining efficient operational workflows.
In this role, attention to detail in cash handling and inventory management is paramount, with the HSC following strict cash control and security procedures such as safe counting and cash drawer management. Daily and weekly inventory inspections ensure that stock levels meet operational demands, and the HSC is involved in receiving inventory truck orders. Leading by example, the HSC actively works on the floor to support the team, motivating Team Members to exceed guest expectations and improve overall restaurant performance.
The HSC’s duties encompass providing continuous coaching and feedback to enhance Team Members’ skills and capabilities, promoting a culture of performance and accountability. By reviewing restaurant results and identifying areas for improvement, the HSC contributes to ongoing operational excellence. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure during peak hours, and a dedication to maintaining high-quality standards that align with the restaurant’s brand identity.
Employment in this role offers valuable experience in quick service restaurant management, focusing on leadership, guest service, and operational efficiencies. Candidates must be prepared to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays with the possibility of long or irregular shifts. This dynamic and hands-on role is ideal for individuals seeking to grow their leadership skills in the hospitality industry while contributing directly to the restaurant’s success.
