The Food and Beverage Server role involves consistently delivering quality service by taking food and beverage orders efficiently and delivering items promptly to guests in a professional and courteous manner. Staff in this role will play a key part in ensuring an exceptional guest experience by greeting guests warmly, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation, and exhibiting comprehensive menu knowledge to address guest needs, including accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences.\n\nCollaboration and communication stand at the forefront of this role, as servers coordinate with kitchen and back-of-house staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness in order delivery. The role requires exceptional communication skills and a personable disposition in order to interact harmoniously with both guests and fellow team members, promoting a positive and flexible working environment. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally
- maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable guest requests and note preferences
- communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate with others
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address guest complaints and relay information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- assist staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
