Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Ability to understand and follow detailed written and oral instructions
- Willingness to comply with health, safety, and dress code policies
- Good attendance and punctuality record
- Prior bakery or food service experience is preferred but not mandatory
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to understand written and oral directions and interpret instructional documents such as recipes and order tickets
- Ability to perform repetitious tasks requiring precise and continuous movement of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
- Physical capacity to lift items up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Meticulous with measurements, timing, and working on a fast-paced production schedule
- Ability to evaluate products, processes, information, and surroundings to determine compliance with standards
- Discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices
- Diligent, organized and self-motivated with ability to prioritize workload and operate independently with minimal supervision
- Previous experience in bakery or food service operational support is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Follow NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieve productivity goals
- Effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer and pastry bag to frost cakes
- Prioritize cake pre-orders according to schedule and frost cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly
- Ensure an adequate supply of samples and frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and maintain appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels
- Adhere to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards and maintain frosting and refrigeration logs
- Monitor inventory of frosting supplies and notify management when replenishment is required
- Evaluate baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and inform management of any quality control issues
- Clean, sanitize and restock workstation, ensure frosting supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift, and wash any equipment in the absence of the Dishwasher/Utility Employee
- Comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
- Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record
