The company is currently looking to hire Hourly CDL-B Drivers for their local delivery routes. These are full-time positions offering a Monday to Friday schedule with no overnight shifts or layovers, enabling employees to return home daily. Drivers at Vistar play a critical role in the food supply chain by ensuring timely and safe delivery of products while serving as the face of the company to customers. The Hourly CDL-B Driver is responsible for operating tractor trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate local routes, shuttle routes, and drive-and-drop routes to deliver food and related products. Adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies is paramount, as is maintaining professional communication with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Drivers carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspections, verify load security, complete required documentation accurately, and manage product unloading and customer transactions.

This role requires physical ability to handle freight that can range significantly in weight, use of equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates, and attention to detail to ensure the integrity of deliveries. It also requires a valid CDL-B license, a clean motor vehicle record, and the ability to pass drug tests, background checks, and road tests.
