Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
- One month related experience or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
- Ability to understand and apply time and rate calculations
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle and perform parallel parking
- Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including early mornings and late evenings
- Commitment to maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor
- Ability to operate under specific directions and guidelines
- Travel availability up to 5 percent
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
- One month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using money units
- Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
- Understanding of rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate manual transmission is highly desirable
- Skill in parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities of the facility and nearby attractions
- Deliver messages, items or guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
